O' Christmas Wreath, O' Christmas Wreath

Some folks in Colorado thought Lisa Jenson's Christmas wreath was offensive, divisive, and possibly a symbol of Satan.

It's quite obvious, right?

But Jenson’s wreath is certainly blasé compared to this clearly superior holiday wreath which is a tribute to the true spirit of the season:

I cannot decide whether to hang the wreath on my balcony or my front door. I am sure my neighbors would just LOVE IT regardless of where it appears. You can't tell by the above photos, but this wreath lights up too - and the lights flash as well! Oh joy!

Please do let me know which wreath you prefer, Jenson's satanic, divisive symbol, or mine. (There COULD have been flamingoes at the manger in Bethlehem you know; it's not entirely impossible. Stranger things have happened.)

bogs - you hurt me dreadfully. you'd rather have that peace wreath over my flamigo wreath?

(i heard the company that once made those plastic pink flamingoes went out of business - couldn't afford the cost of production any more. pity. but you can get pink flamingoes made from tin - i have three.)

Wreaths are so personal. They indicate some interesting things about folks.

What I like about your pink bird wreath, it reminds me of joyous times. (And to think it lights up too. Wow!) It says you do care about some very positive things. You want to share joy with the world.

Thank you.

Peace to all. Namaste`

this is subversive art! how dare you use santas hat on a pink flimsy floriday bird! whats wrong with artic terns? probably not too many tern figures down at the dollar store.

bird, i agree with jack. i like a wreath with a personal touch that tells us a little about the person behind the door. are you wearing flip flops and drinking a mai tai?

Ah, I see it's time for that annoying little accessory to avoid salesmen. Perhaps they're selling pink flamingos without overhead on the net! ;-)

The gaudiness of the flamingo wreath would be just perfect for your kitschen. :-)

dearest anon,
i can make extra cash by selling pink flamigo wreaths to you. then again, the wreath is too good for you.

yes disguised- that's it exactly - the kitsch aspect. and i think my kitschen would be the perfect place for my wreath - great idea - thank you!

k9- no mai tais - but pina coladas, daquiris, or margaritas! now that souns good.i am tempted to run off to some warm, tropical beach for the holidaze.

i do have a pair of purple flip flops - my house shoes. perhaps i should get pink ones.

jack - yeah - there is something ridiculously joyous about this kitschy wreath.

lambsie-poo and /t. - thank you for the adorable pink christlamb tree. stunning and festive it is indeed!
