Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down

Thumbs Up

Keith Olbermann of Countdown - for once again dishing the dirt where it belongs – on our government – Dems and Repubs, House, Senate, and Bush.

Seema Dundhi and her unit - a cadre of UN Peacekeeping Forces in Liberia – all women.

Al Gore - for an articulate and humorous critique of the news media in his interview with Jon Stewart on the Daily Show.

John Edwards - for his continuing support of the troops via his insistence we get out of Iraq, and his plans to bolster our ailing Veterans Administration (whose budget has been cut by our beloved President – who fully supports the troops indeed).

The Onion - for political and social parody extraordinaire.

Thumbs Down

Speaker of the House Pelosi - Oh Nancy, you done wrong.

Senator Harry Reid. Oh Harry - you weak-knee-ed fool.

The Democrats - for once again turning tail and running for cover.

The Republicans - for being being idiots.

Mr. Bush - for idiocy and stubborness that defies all rational, reasonable logic.

ab: rosie gives liberals a bad name. she is cut from an entirely different cloth - but I suspect it was all "entertainment." besides, who cares what she says. i ain't watching the view anyway - why would anyone? it's all surface bull.

jack: home from your travels? i almost thought I saw you in Santa Rosa on the 20th. saw a couple that looked, oddly enough, like you and yours. just in case, i enquired of the couple - and they weren't you. pity.

t./: yes, i am white-knuckling it!

yes, onandon - thumbs down to Nancy and Harry for their ultimately poor leadership on the war bill - they played a game of chicken with the prez and they blinked first - idiots. this kind of behavior - giving up on important issues instead of standing and fighting (even though you might still lose) is what made me switch to the green party right before the war started. the dems do not stay on message and they chicken out at the crucial minute. cowards! they really piss me off!

riki d: plastic surgery? is nancy gonna have her eyebrows fixed?

flap/flap/flap and a stream of green and white juicy birdshit on our nation's capital!

Thanks for the info.
We are having the same trouble here with our 'labor' party. They are blinking on our new Industrial relations laws. They are abandoning their union base to appease the 'bosses' so they will get elected.

I too move toward our Greens party whenever I feel the opposition needs a kick in the pants.

Kindred spirits indeed from halfway around the globe.
